Please join us as for an interfaith vigil to commemorate those who lost their lives experiencing homelessness in Santa Barbara County. We will meet in front of the County Courthouse, on Anacapa Street.

December 21, the longest night of the year, is remembered annually as Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, a time when we remember the people who lost their lives while experiencing homelessness. Homeless advocates and those with lived experience of homelessness have hosted this memorial in Santa Barbara County for several years now. The event founders include Wayne Mellinger, Jeff Shaffer, Emily Allen, Chuck Flacks, Michelle Williams, Rev. Julia Hamilton and others.
